It was a series of events:
- Turning twenty-six
- Hitting my fourth year in the workforce
- Reading this article
- Watching this video
- Following this advice
- Wanting to follow this advice
To make it simple, it was like having a quarter life crisis. I got itchy and decided that I should close my blog for awhile to work on tearing it apart and putting it back together.
I think I got it from my mother (who put up numerous small businesses in her short lifetime) that my head is always brewing with plans and ideas. After years of toying with some of them, I have finally hit one that I want to pursue and grow. However, before reaching for the stars, and while I’m gathering information, doing research, searching for funding, there are some things that I would like to do in the interim. Mind you, they’re not little tasks, they’re preparation and ties back to the big thing—and one of them is getting the blog sorted.
Trust me, it’s not easy having to set aside three to four years of content but after doing it for a couple of times, it does get easier. Plus it’s the fastest way for me to move where I won’t be bogged down with editing previous content that don’t fit with the direction of where the blog is heading. There’s a lot of planning to be made and decisions to be done so I’ll be spending the next week mapping out my attack.
If you’re just as excited as I am with this prospect, please be sure to sign up for my newsletter to get an email update once the site is up; you know in case your memory doesn’t always serve you right. As always, your privacy is important so your information is safe with me, and me only.
There’s also been a lot of questions, specifically from the brands that have reached out to me in the past. I say, all would be revealed soon. But if you’re itching for more answers, please feel free to reach me at hello@nikipaniki.com.
Thanks for wanting to be part of this journey and here’s to the new adventures to come!
